YouTubers Ranveer Allahabadia, Apoorva Makhija apologize to NCW for derogatory remarks

New Delhi: YouTubers Ranveer Allahabadia and Apoorva Makhija have submitted a written apology to the National Commission for Women (NCW) for their derogatory remarks on the show India’s Got Latent. NCW chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar said on Friday that such comments were unacceptable.

Allahabadia, Makhija, and the show’s producers, Saurabh Bothra and Tushar Pujari, appeared before the commission on Thursday. According to sources, the two YouTubers were questioned for hours.

Addressing a press conference, Rahatkar stated that the commission would not tolerate the use of objectionable language and issued notices considering the social impact of their remarks.

During the hearing, Allahabadia and others acknowledged their mistake and apologized in writing.
