Chandigarh mayoral election today: BJP faces threat after 7 years

Chandigarh: The election of the Mayor of the Municipal Corporation in Chandigarh is to be held from 11:00 am today. All preparations have been completed for this.

The direct contest for the chairman’s chair is between Aam Aadmi Party councillor and INDIA candidate Kuldeep Tita and BJP candidate Manoj Sonkar.

For the post of senior deputy mayor, there is a fight between Congress councillor alliance candidate Gurpreet Singh Gavi and BJP candidate Kuljit Singh Sandhu. For deputy mayor, there will be a fight between Congress councillor Nirmala Devi, who is the alliance’s candidate, and Rajinder Sharma, the BJP candidate.
