Congress Working Committee meeting underway, election manifesto to be released
New Delhi: The Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting began today to finalise the party’s election manifesto for the Lok Sabha polls.
The meeting, chaired by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, was attended by former party presidents Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, organisation general secretary KC Venugopal, manifesto committee chief P Chidambaram and others.
Chidambaram and several other members of the working committee are involved.
The working committee meeting will be followed by a meeting of the Central Election Committee (CEC) of the Congress to finalise the names of the remaining candidates of the party for the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections beginning April 19.
