Farmers to march on foot to Delhi on December 6: Pandher

Chandigarh: Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher announced that a group of farmers will march to Delhi on foot starting December 6, demanding a legal guarantee on minimum support price and action on other unresolved issues.

The march, organized by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (non-political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM), comes after 293 days of protests at the Shambhu and Khanauri borders. Speaking to reporters, Pandher criticized the central government for its lack of engagement on farmers’ demands, labeling its stance as “negative.”

The first batch of protesters will be led by Satnam Singh Pannu, Surinder Singh Chautala, Surjit Singh Phool, and Baljinder Singh. The march is planned to be peaceful, with stops at designated points in Haryana, including Jaggi City Centre in Ambala, Mohra Anaj Mandi, Khanpur Jattan, and Pipli.

Farmers will walk daily from 9 am to 5 pm, spending nights along the route. Details on the size of the first group are yet to be disclosed.
