Former Patiala MP Dharamvir Gandhi joins Congress

New Delhi: Former Patiala MP Dharamvir Gandhi on Monday joined the Congress. Gandhi is a renowned cardiologist. He has defeated Preneet Kaur. He is also the founder of Nawan Punjab Party. Dr. Gandhi has already been supporting the Congress.

Though his candidature from Patiala is considered certain, he had earlier said that his old age and health do not allow him to contest the Lok Sabha elections.

Dr. Gandhi contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Patiala seat on an Aam Aadmi Party ticket and defeated Preneet Kaur, who is now BJP candidate.
