Regularise jobs of Agniveer or scrap this program immediately, says Punjab CM Mann
Mansa News: Condemning the incident of not giving guard of honour to Agniveer Amritpal Singh after he died of a bullet injuries, the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday said that Union government should regularise jobs of Agniveer or suspend this scheme at once and send all these soldiers back from safely.
Visiting house of Amritpal Singh to handover Rs 1 crore cheque, CM said that not honoring Amritpal Singh, the first martyr of the Agniveer scheme, who sacrificed his life in Jammu and Kashmir at the young age of 19 is condemnable.
He said that it is heartbreaking that the army field to provide an army ambulance to bring the martyr’s body back home to Punjab.
The CM has demanded the immediate scrapping of the Agniveer scheme and the regularization of services for all soldiers.
He said that he would meet the defence minister of India soon to take up this matter and express his displeasure over the incident.
