DC Office Employees Union ends strike after MLA’s apology 

Punjab News: After Rupnagar MLA Dinesh Chadha reportedly misbehaved with the employees during his visit to the tehsil office in Rupnagar and made it live on social media, employees went on the strike seeking an apology from the MLA.
The DC Office Employees Union Punjab on 26-07-2023, a large gathering was held in a state-level protest rally at Rupnagar and the effigy of MLA Dinesh Chadha was burnt
    Rupnagar MLA Dinesh Chadha had shared a video message on his Facebook page yesterday and said, “I had no intention of hurting the dignity of any staff member.
After this, D.C. the Office Employees Union Punjab has decided that when the MLA has realized the regret of his mistake, in such a situation, keeping in view the flood situation in the state and the problems being faced by the people of the state in government office, all office work, including flood works, will be done from 27-07-2023, ending the ongoing strike in offices, SDM offices, tehsil and sub-tehsil offices.
