Former Ludhiana MLA resigns from AAP

Chandigarh: Hotelier and senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Jassi Khangura has resigned from his post in Ludhiana. Jassi left the Congress and joined the AAP in the assembly elections 2022. Jassi was a strong contender for the Aam Aadmi Party ticket from the Ludhiana Lok Sabha seat.

Instead of relying on Jassi, the party gave ticket to sitting MLA Ashok Parashar Pappu. Due to which Jassi was angry with the party.

Jasvir Singh Jassi Khangura’s family is an old Congress family. He contested and won the assembly elections from Kila Raipur in 2007. In the 2012 Lok Sabha elections, he lost from Mullanpur Dakha. He wanted to contest elections from here this time too.
