Local Bodies Minister reviews progress of development projects of Kartarpur Constituency

Directs officials to accomplish all on-going projects within timeline
Also asks to ensure regular monitoring and review of these works

Jalandhar:  Punjab Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh on Saturday reviewed the progress of development projects of Kartarpur assembly constituency wherein he directed the officials to accomplish all projects within a given time-frame so that people can get the benefit of pro-people initiatives of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led state government.

Accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Varinderpal Singh Bajwa, Jasbir Singh, the Minister reiterated that the state government is committed to providing transparent, responsive, and corruption free administration so that all the officials must fulfill their duty with utmost honesty and sincerity to achieve this mission.

Taking stock of development projects in both rural and urban areas, the Minister directed the senior officers to conduct daily review of all these projects besides ensuring personal monitoring. He also stressed that the quality of these projects should also be taken care of at every cost as any kind of compromise with the quality would be highly unwarranted.

He further directed the officials to work in coordinated manner so that benefits of welfare schemes of Punjab Government could be percolated in every nook and corner of the state. He asserted that no stone be left unturned to benefit people of the state with pro-people initiatives of the state government besides ensuring benefit citizen services in a smooth and hassle-free manner. The Minister reinforced that efforts were being made for the holistic development of the constituency as he was personally monitoring the entire projects. On the occasion Additional Commissioner Jalandhar Municipal Corporation Sikha Bhagat, Civil Surgeon Dr. Raman Sharma, officials from different departments were also present.
