MP Arora performs yoga and praises “CM Di Yogshala”

Ludhiana: AAP MP (Rajya Sabha) Sanjeev Arora was among those Ludhianvis who performed yoga asanas during `The Breath Concert with Live Music by Radhesa’ organised in early hours of Tuesday morning at IMA Hall, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana.

The event was organised by Indian Medical Association (IMA) Ludhiana and Rotary Club of Ludhiana Midtown in collaboration with Humyog India, to celebrate International Yoga Day.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Arora made reference about importance of International Yoga Day. He also highlighted importance and benefits of yoga in one’s life. He said yoga makes a person perfect physically, mentally and spiritually.

Arora said the International Yoga Day reminds us about the centuries-old tradition of meditation and yoga, adding that people have forgotten this old tradition over the period. He added taking all these facts into consideration, Punjab Government under the leadership of chief minister Bhagwant Mann has launched “CM Di Yogshala” to allow ease of yoga access to the citizens and to give a healthy lifestyle to the people of Punjab.

Adding, he said the state government wants to make yoga a mass movement across Punjab. He, therefore, urged people to make yoga a part of their and their family’s lives. He said under “CM Di Yogshala” a team of certified yoga instructors has been established in Punjab to help yoga reach door to door and to transform it into a mass movement by facilitating yoga instructors to the public.

Arora was honoured with doshala and memento on the occasion. Rtn Ashwani Garg (Project Director), Rtn CA Vishal Garg (Project Chairman), Rtn Inderbir Singh Nanda (President- RCLM), Dr Gaurav Sachdeva (President- IMA), CA Vinod Fatehpuria and Dr Neeraj Aggarwal (Secretary-IMA), were among those present.

Later, in an informal chat with the media persons, Arora shared his experiences of the event. He said yoga has a great importance in our fast-paced daily lives, especially in big and industrial cities like Ludhiana. He asked Ludhianvis to get maximum benefit of “CM Di Yogshala” launched by the state government.

He said by following yoga people will feel fit and healthy and will need lesser medical aid. He opined that people may get rid of many health problems if they make yoga a necessary and important part of their routine life. He said even there will not be any need to go to fitness centres for undergoing physical exercises by spending huge money if does yoga in routine.
