Punjab Cabinet meeting today: Canal water will be available at cheaper rates in non-irrigation works
Chandigarh: A cabinet meeting will be held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. It is likely to approve a charge policy for non-irrigation works and check the depleting ground water level in the state.
Under this, canal water will be provided at cheap prices for industries and business works so that the falling ground water level can be stopped. The Water Maintenance Policy-2024 can be approved in the meeting. Apart from this, the angel scheme will be approved for immediate assistance to those injured in road accidents on the lines of Delhi.
Under the scheme, the state government will give Rs 2000 as a reward to those who take the injured people to the hospital. The person will not be questioned by the police or hospital administration unless he himself wants to become an eyewitness. Apart from this, the teacher transfer policy will be stamped.
