Grain transportation fraud case: Vigilance registers case against three contractors and firms
Chandigarh: The Punjab Vigilance Bureau has registered a criminal case against three contractors and three firms on charges of cheating in the tender for transportation of food grains in various grain mandis of Sangrur district, clubbing of clusters of transport and labour in various grain mandis of Sangrur district as part of its drive against corruption in the state. Further investigation in the case is underway.
Disclosing this here an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that a case has been registered against contractor Paramvir Singh of Dhanola, District Barnala, Contractor Jaswant Rai of village Malewal, District SBS Nagar, Contractor Rajiv Kumar Jaiton. Jimmydara Transport Company Khanna, M/s. Zaildar Contractor, M/s. Jagroop Singh and Sandeep Kumar Malerkotla.
