14 revenue officials suspended in Punjab over corruption and negligence charges

Chandigarh: In a significant administrative action, the Punjab government has suspended 14 revenue officials, including six Tehsildars and eight Naib Tehsildars, with immediate effect.

According to official sources, the move comes amid ongoing investigations into irregularities and corruption within the Revenue Department.

The suspended officials face serious charges, including negligence, dereliction of duty, and, in some instances, corruption.

Officials said the government has adopted a strict stance on the issue, signalling zero tolerance for misconduct in the department. Further inquiry into the matter is underway.
