60 per cent women in Chandigarh are anaemic, says survey report

Punjab E News: More than half of city beautiful women suffer from anemia. Due to lack of blood, she is struggling with all kinds of problems.

It is a matter of concern that despite the available resources due to lack of information, negligence in food is becoming a victim of lack of blood. This is being confirmed by the National Family Health Survey (NFHS).
It has been reported in this report that 60 percent of women between 14 years and 49 years are victims of anemia.
Among adolescent girls, the ratio is 57 per cent. Both levels are very dangerous. Experts say that if the lack of blood in adolescence is not overcome, then it can prove fatal for both the mother and the child.
Dr Gurpreet Kaur, a gynaecologist and former president of the Indian Society of Assistant Reproduction, said that the biggest cause of anemia is iron deficiency in the body. When red blood cells in the body gradually start to disappear and the body does not get the diet it needs, it leads to blood loss.
Along with this, most of these problems are also caused by lack of blood during menstruation in adolescence and women.
The thing to note is that the lack of anemia in the body also increases the risk of other diseases. Professor Ratiram Sharma, head of PGI Blood Transfusion Medicine, says that due to lack of blood, women are not able to donate blood even if they want. In such a situation, it is important that they take iron-rich food.
