After SP, Punjab govt suspends two DSPs, three inspectors and ASI for security lapses
Mohali News: Just before the Assembly elections, the Punjab government is now in action in the case of prime minister Narendra Modi’s security lapse in Punjab. After the suspension of the then SP Operation Gurbinder Singh of Ferozepur, action has been taken against six more police personnel. Gurbinder Singh has been held responsible for dereliction of duty. He was currently posted as SP in Bathinda.
The government has taken this action on the basis of the DGP’s report sent on October 18, 2023. Apart from Gurbinder Singh, DSP Parsan Singh, DSP Jagdish Kumar, Inspector Tejinder Singh, Inspector Balwinder Singh, Inspector Jatinder Singh and ASI Rakesh Kumar have also been suspended.
