BJP candidate Preneet Kaur faces protests from farmers

Chandigarh: Preneet Kaur, the BJP candidate from Patiala Lok Sabha constituency, kicked off her election campaign by holding a booth-level gathering in Patran, Patiala.

Meanwhile, the organisations involved in the Samyuktkisan Morcha showed black flags to the BJP candidate and party leaders and raised slogans against the BJP.

Despite this, Preneet walked ahead of the barricading done by the police, smiling and waving to her fans.

The farmers’ organisations got into full swing when BJP leader Harjit Singh Grewal, who had launched a scathing attack on the farmers’ agitation, had to come to the venue.
