Dr Vaibhav Saini, in-charge of the task force, said that from January to September, about 5 patients of black fungus used to come to AIIMS every month, but in the last 40 days, there has been a surge in these cases of black fungus, which is quite worrisome trend.
11 patients found in first week of November
Giving information, Dr. Vaibhav Saini said that in October, 15 patients of black fungus had arrived for treatment. While in the first week of this November, 11 patients have been admitted. Efforts are being made to detect the sudden increase in cases of black fungus.
