Cabinet Minister Balkar Singh lays foundation stones of development projects worth Rs. 1.21 crore in Shahkot

Jalandhar: Punjab Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh today laid the foundation stones of development works worth Rs 1.21 crore in Shahkot sub-division.

        These works includes construction of fire brigade station costing Rs. 64.63 lakh near bus stand and community centre with Rs 57.02 lakh on Jalandhar – Moga road .

       Addressing the people on this occasion, the Cabinet Minister said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was working tirelessly to ensure availability of all basic facilities in every region of the state to tackle any adverse situation as well as to facilitate the people for their social functions especially for the economically weaker section in a limited expenditure.

        Terming the set up of fire brigade station at Shahkot as a major step towards safety of human lives , the Minister said that it would prove beneficial for the surrounding areas in case of any mishap.

        Singh also said that there was no dearth of funds for development works as the Punjab Government has taken revolutionary steps for the welfare of every section, including 600 units of electricity waiver, establishment of AACs to provide quality health facilities to the people at their doorsteps and school of eminence for world class education to the students.

        It may be mentioned here that both these projects will be completed within three months. The minister also gave instructions to the officials to complete the development projects within the stipulated time keeping in mind the quality so that these development projects can be dedicated to the people on time.
