Chandigarh Administration seeks panel for Chandigarh SSP from Punjab Government

Punjab E News: The Chandigarh Administration on Wednesday sought a panel from the Punjab government, a day after CM Mann’s statement to send the panel. Earlier, CM Punjab Mann is very angry with the neglect of Punjab’s rights and has also written a letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) including the Punjab Governor.

The Chandigarh Administration released SSP Kuldeep Singh Chahal on December 12 without giving any prior notice to the Punjab government. This is the first time that an IPS, SSP of Punjab cadre has been released before the deputation period and the state government is not informed. What is worrying for Punjab is that the responsibility of now executive SSP UT in chandigarh police department has been entrusted to Haryana cadre IPS Manisha Chaudhary instead of Punjab.
