CM Bhagwant Mann slams BJP MP Sunny Deol in Gurdaspur rally
Chandigarh: Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann arrived in Pathankot on Sunday, where he strongly criticized Gurdaspur MP and actor Sunny Deol. CM Mann stated that “Your MP crosses the border and uproots the tap, but not a single tap has been installed in our area.”
Addressing Sunny Deol directly, Mann emphasized that “It is not a nine-to-five duty; politics is a 24-hour commitment. No one knows when a sick mother may call. This is not tap-pulling politics.”
CM Mann urged the people of Pathankot to assess whether the MP would fulfill his responsibilities.
He pointed out, “Sunny Deol did not attend Parliament, leaving his duties unfulfilled. I served as an MP from 2014 to 2022, but until 2022, I never saw him in Parliament.”
Mann stressed that MPs serve as a bridge between the people and the government, expressing disappointment that the representation has dwindled.
Mann highlighted the significance of voting, stating, “People vote as a rab. Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Kartar Singh Sarabha, and Lala Lajpat Rai fought for the right to vote.” He appealed to voters to make informed decisions.
