CM Bhagwant Mann to hand over appointment letters to 500 Sub-inspectors in Jalandhar

Punjab News: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will hand over appointment letters to 500 newly recruited sub-inspectors of Punjab Police during a special function to be held in Jalandhar on September 9.
Although 560 posts were filled, 60 of them are candidates who are not joining due to various reasons. This is the first recruitment of sub-inspectors during the AAP government. Earlier, such recruitment was done in 2021 during the Captain government.
According to the information, the police hatred required for various other helps, including drugs, gangsters and other bad elements, is already low. About 150 police personnel are retiring every month. There are some of them who are retiring early. In such a situation, there is an acute shortage of experienced investigating officers in the police department.
It is a different matter that even though the new force is getting more educated and IT-skilled policemen than before, many other helps, including investigation, also depend on experience.
Though the police recruitment was mainly once or twice in five years during the previous governments, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced to recruit 2,000 constables and 500 sub-inspectors every year.
