Curb of 52 passengers in roadways buses lifted, union to hold meeting with CM on Feb 8

Chandigarh: The Punjab Roadways Transport Corporation Union has rescinded the restrictions and rules pertaining to the seating of 52 passengers following a meeting with senior officials of the Punjab Transport Department on Monday.

Union office bearers, including those from Punbus and PRTC unions, were assured during the meeting that their demands would be addressed in a subsequent meeting with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on February 8.

In response to this assurance, the union has lifted the ban on seating more than 52 passengers, which was imposed in protest against the central government’s hit-and-run law and the state government’s anti-employee policies.

This decision aims to alleviate the difficulties faced by passengers, with the hope that their demands will be considered in the upcoming meeting with the Chief Minister.
