DC reviews Grievances redressal in Jalandhar -Higher officials told to personally monitor the grievance redressal system

Holds meeting with SDMs and heads of government departments

Jalandhar: In order to address the grievances of the people in a hassle free manner , Deputy commissioner Mr. Vishesh sarangal held a meeting with SDMs and heads of departments at DAC.

     Deputy commissioner has ordered the officials from various departments including Revenue, Sewa Kendras, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, Social Security and Development of Women and Children, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Health, Water Supply and Sanitation, PSPCL, Rural Development and Panchayats, Police and others have been asked to redress the grievances of people in given time frame .

     He said that every issue or complaint would be followed back to ensure optimum satisfaction of the people by appointing nodal officers and a dedicated team.

    He said that the participation of people in the governance process would make the services more accountable and transparent.

    Terming the “Sarkar Tuhade dwar “ program as a giant step to facilitate the people at they’d doorsteps , Deputy commissioner also asked the higher official especially which are responsible for implementing welfare schemes to reach out every village so that all eligible applicants would be able to avail the maximum benefit . Besides that head of departments have been asked to personally monitor the grievances redressal system at ground level .

     Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included SDMs Balbir Raj Singh, Dr Jai Inder Singh, and others.
