Farmer unions call for unity meeting in Chandigarh

Chandigarh: In a bid to strengthen farmers’ unity, the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (non-political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha have invited the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) for a gathering at Kisan Bhawan, Chandigarh, on February 27.

The call for unity was announced by Kisan Mazdoor Morcha leader Sarwan Singh Pandher at the Shambhu border.

Pandher said that the invitation was jointly extended by both forums, expressing hope that the meeting would pave the way for unity and prosperity.

The letter also mentioned that if talks between farmer unions and the central government are scheduled during this period, the meeting date could be rescheduled by mutual agreement.

Additionally, Pandher urged people to participate in the death anniversary of Shaheed Shubhkaran Singh on February 21.
