Flood-like situation in Punjab; Water entered the villages of Hoshiarpur and Ropar

Punjab E News: The flood gates of bhakra dam were opened up to 12 feet on Monday. On Sunday, the water level had reached 1678 feet. After opening the flood gate on Monday, it dropped by 1 foot to 1677 feet.
The flood gates were completely closed at midnight. Water entered the villages of Ropar when the flood gates of the dam were opened.
     Late in the night NDRF teams tried to evacuate people stranded in Harsabella. But this was not possible due to excessive darkness. The NDRF has again started evacuating people from the village on Tuesday morning.
