Former CM Parkash Singh Badal cremated with full state honours at ancestral village
Bathinda News: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) patron and five-time Chief Minister of Punjab, Parkash Singh Badal, has been cremated with full state honours at ancestral village in Badal on Thursday. He was offered the fire by his son Sukhbir Singh Badal.
On this occasion, a flood of tears flowed in everyone’s eyes for their late leader and the atmosphere became completely sombre. His son Sukhbir Badal, daughter-in-law Harsimrat Kaur Badal and grandchildren looked extremely emotional.
The last rites of Parkash Singh Badal were performed at his own kinnow orchard in his native village Badal. For his last rites, a tomb about 50 feet long and 30 feet wide was prepared by levelling the place of Kinnu’s garden. The platform will later be converted into a memorial and a memorial for Parkash Singh Badal will be built here.
