Gangster killed in police encounter in Punjab’s Gurdaspur

Chandigarh: A notorious gangster, known for his close ties to Prabh Dasuvali and Donny Bal, was killed in a police encounter in Gurdaspur’s Rangad Nangal area.

During the exchange of fire, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Shami, stationed with the CIA, sustained a gunshot injury but is now reported to be in stable condition.

According to DIG Satinder Singh, the police party had signaled the accused to stop, but he attempted to flee while firing at the officers.

The gangster was injured in retaliatory fire and was rushed to the civil hospital in Batala, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

The incident highlights the ongoing crackdown on criminal elements in the region. Police investigations into the gangster’s network and associates are underway.
