Gurbani broadcast channel may be delayed: SGPC’s expected 3-month deadline expires

Amritsar News: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee’s (SGPC) plan to reach out to people through the Golden Temple’s Gurbani broadcast channel may be delayed further. The three-month deadline expected by the SGPC is over. The SGPC is awaiting permission from the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (IB).
The controversy started with chief minister Bhagwant Mann’s protest over the handing over of the rights of Gurbani broadcast from the Golden Temple to a private channel. The 11-year contract with the private channel ended about three months ago. After which SGPC started working on the plan to start the channel soon. At the same time, it launched his YouTube channel SGPC Sri Amritsar on July 24 this year.
