Half-day holiday declared in schools and colleges on Prakash Purb of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji

Jalandhar: In connection with the Prakash Purb of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, a grand Nagar Kirtan is scheduled to take place in Jalandhar city on January 15, 2024.

As per the recent directive from DC Jalandhar, Vishesh Sarangal, several traffic routes within the city have been redirected due to the Nagar Kirtan.

To accommodate the religious sentiments of the community and ensure the convenience and safety of students in schools/colleges on this day, a half-day holiday has been announced for all government and non-government schools and colleges under the jurisdiction of Jalandhar Municipal Corporation on January 15, starting at noon.
