Harjot Singh Bains’s initiative, Unique Sign boards installed on roads leading to religious places of Anandpur Sahib

These directional boards inform travelers about distances and historical significance of the holy places and shrines

Chandigarh: In a commendable initiative by Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains, unique signboards have been installed along the state highway in the Anandpur Sahib Vidhan Sabha constituency. These distinctive directional boards not only guide travelers by indicating distances and the next city but also offer concise historical insights into significant religious sites along the route.

      Divulging the further information in this regard, a spokesperson said that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is striving to elevate the state as a premier tourism destination in the country. He said that Sri Anandpur Sahib, the birthplace of the Khalsa Panth, attracts millions of visitors worldwide annually. Additionally, the route to Naina Devi, a prominent Hindu Shakti Peeth, originates from Anandpur Sahib, leading to a continuous influx of pilgrims throughout the year.

      The spokesperson said that Anandpur Sahib Vidhan Sabha Constituency is an area with water bodies, rivers, dams, rivers and semi-hills where tourists from the country and abroad come to enjoy its beauty on a large scale. To enhance the travel experience, these innovative directional boards have been installed to inform travelers about distances and historical significance.
       He said that these boards also succinctly narrate the religious and historical importance of the holy places and shrines, enriching the knowledge of devotees visiting Sri Anandpur Sahib.

      The government under leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is dedicatedly promoting religious tourism in the Anandpur Sahib region. Various projects, such as the renovation of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Museum, Panj Piara Park, Nature Park, Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial, Information Center, and more, are nearing completion under the vigilant supervision of Constituency MLA and Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains, the spokesperson added.
