HC issues notice to Punjab government over Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra, seeks reply by 12

Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued a notice to the state government regarding the recently launched Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra in the state. On Saturday, the High Court issued a notice to the Punjab government seeking a reply after social activist Parvinder Singh, a resident of Hoshiarpur, filed a petition in the High Court through lawyer HC Arora.
He had said in the petition that the government has misused the money of common people from the said scheme. This yatra is not benefiting the state in any way. Taking all the facts into consideration, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued a notice to the Punjab government and ordered it to file a reply in the matter by December 12.
