Punjab E News: After stopping at the Amritsar airport for two hours today for questioning by the immigration authorities of India, first turbaned Sikh UK MP Tanmanjeet Dhesi has lashed out the authorities and said that he was held back as he supported the farmer protest last year.
“Last year in #India I felt the love for speaking up on FarmersProtest and HumanRights, but today was held back at Amritsar airport, as haters had called to cancel my visa.
Guess it’s the price to pay for standing up for farmers, the marginalised and minorities like the Sikhs,”MP wrote in a tweet.
