International award Charter of Morawa announced for Indian litterateur Dr. Jarnail Singh Anand in Belgrade
Mohali News: An eminent Indian litterateur in Belgrade, Dr. Jarnail Singh Anand would be honoured with the international award ‘Charter of Morawa’.
Dr. Anand, who has penned more than 150 books and gave International Academy of Ethics’ to the world, has been invited for the International Meeting of Writers scheduled to be held on October 20th to 23rd, 2023 where he would be the Guest of Honour. The Serbian Writers Association would confer the award on him. He would be the first Indian writer whose name would be engraved on the Poets Rock in Serbia.
It is worth noting that Dr. Anand was appointed the Honorary Member of the Writers Association in Serbia. Held every year in Serbia, this prestigious occasion converts Serbia into the literary capital of the world for its duration. Among those attending would be T. Obrahit from the USA, Sirazidina Sajida from Azerbaijan and Dante Mafia from Italy. On the occasion, a translation of Dr. Anand’s poems into different languages titled ‘Best poetry of Dr. Anand’ (An offering in Translation) and ‘The Imperfect Artist’ (Poetry) would also released.
The event to be organized by the Serbian Writers Association would also see Serbia’s Minister of Culture and Mayor attending with interviews of the guest litterateurs on National Television. Serbia fondly remembers its Nobel Prize Winner Ivo Andrik (1961). The Nobel winner from India Rabindra Nath Tagore also participated in the event in 1926. After him, Dr. Anand is the first Indian to become member of the Writers Federation of Serbia and to mark his presence as the Guest of Honour. It is also a matter of pride for Punjab.
Dr. Anand has devoted 40 years to the academic sphere. He got immense love from the land of Rumi-Iran. He translated 4 books into Persian and propounded the theory of Biotext. He also contributed 7 books to the service of Nother Tongue Punjabi. He has also received Cross of Peace, Cross of Literature, World Icon of Peace and Franz Kafka Award from Ukraine. He also has 4 world poetry conferences to his credit.
It is a matter of great pride for every Indian and Punjabi that Dr. Anand has been chosen for such an unprecedented honour in Belgrade. His most famous book is ‘Lustis’ is an epic which is being included by some universities in the English literature. Dr. Anand is the only poet in the world who has written 9 epics.
