Jail authorities did not allow Majithia to meet Rajoana

Patiala: Former ministers Bikram Singh Majithia and Virsa Singh Valtoha, who arrived here today after taking permission from the ADGP Prisons, were not allowed to meet Balwant Singh Rajoana by the jail authorities. Strongly condemning this, Majithia said that if Rajoana went on a hunger strike on December 5 and his condition worsens, the Punjab government would be responsible for it.
Gangsters like Lawrence Bishnoi are interviewed from jail during this government, but they were not even allowed to meet Balwant Singh Rajoana.
It may be recalled that in 2012, when the date for Rajoana’s execution was fixed, the President had stayed it on the basis of a mercy petition filed by the SGPC, but after the petition was pending for 12 years, Rajoana had recently requested the Akal Takht to issue an order and get his petition returned from the SGPC. If this does not happen, they will start a hunger strike from December 5.
