Major Relief to the Business Community: Court directs government to release the goods on deposit of 25% of the amount demanded

Punjab E News: In a major relief to the business community, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has passed the interim order in the case of Shashi Enterprises and directed the the state government to release the goods on deposit of 25% of the amount demanded and for rest of the amount a personal bond is to be furnished earlier one is to deposit the entire amount for release of goods alongwith vehicle now the Court has given this interim relief in the above petition. 
    The matter was argued by J S Bedi Advocate in which a prayer was made that still the issue of 129 and 130 is to be settled and if 129 will apply then penalty cannot be more than 36%. 
    It is pertinent here to mention that it is the first case of Punjab and the same interim order was passed in other cases fixed on the same day.
    Meanwhile, goods along with vehicle was confiscated and notice was issued by mobile wing authorities on 10/8/23 civil writ petition was filed before Punjab and Haryana High Court and court has granted the interim relief on August 21.
