Massive protests in Punjab over Kejriwal’s arrest, AAP MLAs scuffle with Chandigarh police

New Delhi: After the arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, there has been a fierce uproar in Punjab. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders have started marching towards Chandigarh from Mohali.

However, Chandigarh Police stopped the leaders at the border. The first minister, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, has been detained by the Chandigarh Police. So far, four ministers and many MLAs of the Punjab government have been detained.

Chandigarh Police also detained Aman Arora, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, and Lal Chand Kataruchak after Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal. Now, the police have also detained Minister Lal Jeet Singh Bhullar.

There has been a scuffle between AAP supporters and the police. Water cannons are being fired on AAP leaders, and in the meantime, there was a light lathi charge.

Currently, there is ongoing conflict between AAP supporters and the police, with AAP leaders being stopped at the Chandigarh border for the time being.
