AAP MLA from Bathinda files complaint against Deputy Commissioner

Bathinda News: A tussle broke out between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amit Ratan Kotfatta and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shaukat Ahmed in Punjab’s Bathinda district.
The MLA has given a written complaint to the SSP and demanded that a case be registered against the DC. The MLA alleged that DC Shaukat Ahmed insulted him at an event. However, DC said that it does not matter to him.
AAP MLA from Bathinda rural Amit Ratan Kotfatta has said in his complaint to the SSP that a case has been registered against the DC. “A district-level programme and kisan mela were organised by the agriculture department in which MLA Amit Ratan was ignored and insulted. It also includes district officials of the agriculture department.”
MLA Kotfatta said that people of Scheduled Castes are humiliated by the district administration, it is the behest of DC Bathinda Shaukat Ahmed. “I am working for the betterment of the area. But for a few days, people from the Dalit class were being discriminated.” The district administrative officers are discriminating against the SC fraternity, thereby hurting their dignity, he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Bathinda Shaukat Ahmed said, “I do not care about the MLA’s allegations as cases have been registered against him under serious sections.” He said that the government has instructed that no leader or MLA will be invited to the government program.
