NIA raid jail in Punjab, officials search till night, recover mobile phones

Chandigarh: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting raids at several locations across the country to break the chain of Khalistani terrorism and gangsters. In this regard, the NIA on Saturday raided 14 locations in Delhi, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. However, this time the team approached the jail for the first time and the team officials reached the Amritsar Central Correctional Home.

During this time the team seized two mobile phones. Along with this, team officials also searched and interrogated drug smugglers and gangsters.
According to the information received, the search of the team continued till 10 pm, during which the jail authorities were neither allowed to go out nor pick up the phone. The team estimates that such data can be obtained from these mobiles.
