Now, no manual challans, Chandigarh police to issue E-challan only to violators 

Chandigarh: E-challans will now be issued from June 1 in the Chandigarh. Information for this will be issued on the basis of information received through electronic devices like CCTV cameras, speed radar guns, handycam equipment or through social media etc.
    It has been informed to the public that only one SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number of the owner of any traffic violating vehicle. 
    No separate postal invoice will be sent to the physical address of the owner of the vehicle.
In addition, it is also informed that the general public can get information regarding their pending traffic invoices by visiting the website https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in and selecting “Get Invoice Details”.
The link to check your pending traffic challan is also available on the homepage of the official website of Chandigarh Traffic Police under the “Services” tab.
Further, the general public is hereby advised to update their latest mobile number against the RC details by visiting the concerned registration authority or by visiting the online https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan//en/content/vehicle-related-services.
In case of non-furnishing of information regarding any traffic challan due to non-updating of the latest registered mobile number of the registered owner of the vehicle, the Chandigarh Traffic Police will not be responsible in any way.
