Parkash Utsav: Golden Temple decorated with 100 quintals of flowers, fireworks night

Amritsar News: The Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is being celebrated at the Golden Temple on Saturday. Over 1.5 lakh devotees are expected to pay obeisance at Darbar Sahib on the day. 
      Sri Guru Arjun Dev Ji, the fifth Guru of the Sikhs, had illuminated Sri Guru Granth Sahib at Darbar Sahib in 1604. Since then, the Prakash Purb of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is celebrated every year with full reverence.
       Even before this festival, the Golden Temple has been decorated with beautiful flowers. Flowers have been brought from abroad to decorate the Golden Temple. These flowers have been imported from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia, from which 180 artisans are working day and night to decorate the Golden Temple.
       More than 100 quintals of flowers are being used to decorate the Golden Temple, which were loaded in 10 trucks and brought to Amritsar. 
      Not only the Golden Temple, Amritsar airport named after Sri Guru Ramdas ji is also decorated with flowers.
