Popular Punjabi actress Diljit Kaur passes away

Chandigarh: Diljit Kaur, who has been a superstar of Punjabi cinema, is no more.

She breathed her last this morning at the age of 69. Known as “Hema Malini” of Punjabi films in her time, Diljit Kaur had acted in more than 100 Punjabi films and also acted in about a dozen Hindi films. She had been living a life of anonymity for many years and was ill. She belonged to village Aitiana in Ludhiana district.
