Punjab BJP leader Manpreet Badal withdraws his bail plea after FIR in land allotment case

Punjab E News: Former Punjab finance minister Manpreet Singh Badal, who is embroiled in a land allotment case, is suspected to have fled abroad. In view of this, his Lookout Circular (LOC) has been issued, so that he cannot leave the country.
At the same time, Manpreet Badal has also withdrawn his bail plea. Manpreet had sought anticipatory bail from the Bathinda Sessions Court.
His lawyer Sukhwinder Singh Bhinder said the investigation was underway when the petition was filed. We had argued that without a case, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann is saying from the stage that Manpreet will lodge Badal in jail.
“We went to court that political vendetta is putting pressure on us. In this case, the court had issued a notice to the vigilance. After this, a case was registered on Sunday night. Since a case has now been registered in this case, then we will file a petition with new facts,” he said.
