Punjab Congress president takes dig at BJP-AAP: Asks why not MSP on crops
Chandigarh: Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has raised questions on the BJP and the Mann government in Punjab. In view of the Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-election, people’s eyes are on the statements of big leaders of all parties. This is the reason why Raja Warring is questioning the BJP and AAP government.
Raja Warring has asked where are the MSP givers with a pinch now. The BJP at the Centre and the AAP government in Punjab are ignoring the farmers. He said that neither the income of the farmers has doubled nor the MSP is being received on the crops.
Significantly, due to heavy rains and hailstorms in Punjab in the last few days, a lot of crops of farmers have been damaged. The Mann government also gave increased compensation amount to the farmers on the affected crop, but in many districts, the farmers had to face difficulty in getting the compensation amount due to lack of timely payment.
Apart from this, the Punjab government talked about giving MSP on the crop during and after the election campaign, but due to not being able to do so, the opposition party leaders are questioning the Punjab government.
