Punjab farmers to march towards Shambhu border again on June 2 with tractor-trolleys: Pandher
Chandigarh: The tension at the Shambhu border is likely to escalate once again as farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher, who is leading the Shambhu morcha, said in a video message shared today that farmers across the state will move towards the protest site on their tractors and trolleys on June 2.
Pandher appealed to the people of Punjab to close down the ‘Shop of hate’ in these elections. He also accused the BJP and the RSS of creating a divide between Hindus and Sikhs and Dalits and the upper class to win the general elections.
The farmer leader said the BJP leaders have threatened the farmers to implicate their leaders and send them to Dibrugarh jail after the elections are over.
The protest began on February 13. So far, 22 farmers have died, including 22-year-old Shubhkaran Singh.
