Punjab Government carries out development works on a war footing- Balkar Singh
Jalandhar: Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh on Tuesday said that Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had been carrying out development works on a war-footing to realize the dream Rangla Punjab.
Singh laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 7 crore in nine villages of the district.
The Cabinet Minister initiated the works of new roads, sewerage pipes, concrete roads, pond renovation, rain harvesting system in Bajra, Sammipur, Tarar, Safipur, Nassi, Lidhran, Bhatija and Naugajja. He said that the completion of development works would lead to success in providing better civic facilities to the residents of the state.
The Minister said that there was dearth of the funds with the government and every part of the state would witness unprecedented development. He also instructed the officials to ensure use of quality material in these works.
Singh said that AAP had committed clean and transparent governance to the people for which it had launched a war against corruption. He also said that directions were given to the officials for completing development works on time. He also spoke about historic decisions of the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann including 600 free units of electricity, one MLA-one pension, 664 Aam Aadmi Clinics, Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme, ‘Aap Di Sarkar, Aap De Dwar, over 40000 government jobs, 1076-helpline, and many more during his address.
The Minister also visited the camps under “aap di Sarkar , aap de dwar “ in villages to review the service delivery to citizens as the Punjab government is providing 44 services to people at their doorsteps .
