Punjab government scraps all mining tenders, cost of sand, gravel set to decline

Punjabenews: All the mining tenders issued by the Punjab government have been cancelled. After this, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has also taken a soft stance.

The high court has said that the government can float the tender after the approval of the state environment assessment authority.
The high court said it did not require the court’s approval. Now after the court’s order, the increased prices of sand and gravel in Punjab will also fall.
