‘Punjab government to buy electricity from solar plants at cheaper rates’, CM Mann hits out at previous governments for plundering public money 

Punjab E News: Punjab government has signed an agreement with solar plants to purchase electricity at Rs 2.53 per unit from 1000 MW in Bikaner (Rajasthan) and Bhuj (Gujarat) and Rs 2.75 per unit from 200 MW at Hoshiarpur (Punjab), aiming to provide affordable and continue supply to people of the state.
    Addressing a press conference at Punjab Bhawan, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that AAP government is running a transparent government and that’s why it is not disclosing the all facts to people before buying it rather than hiding it from people like previous government.
    He said that the government has fixed price of PPA 25 years.
