Punjab government to call Winter Session of Vidhan Sabha end of this month
Ludhiana News: The state government has decided to convene the winter session of the Punjab Assembly by the end of November. The Supreme Court’s November 10 order on a petition challenging the governor’s disqualification had paved the way for convening a new session.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given the go-ahead to start the process of permanently raising the fourth session (budget session) of the current Vidhan Sabha, while earlier the sitting of the fourth session was adjourned sine die.
After the chief minister’s approval, the state government will now write to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Secretariat to take up the session permanently and the secretariat will seek its approval from Governor Banwarilal Purohit.
