Purohit will visit Pathankot, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Ferozepur and Fazilka this time. The reason for this visit of the Governor is also believed to be other reasons including security preparations and mining activities.
The Punjab CS is also expected to accompany the Governor during his visit. Also, other officers and DGPs can also stay together.
Questions were raised on AAP government
Governor B L Purohit had visited the border areas of Punjab about three months ago. During that time, he raised many questions on the AAP government. The governor had said that now drugs have reached schools too. The situation is that the drug is available like the goods found in the general store of the villages.
He had said that parents are upset to see children trapped in the grip of drugs, but they are not able to do anything even if they want to. Because children are trapped in the clutches of drug mafia and crime.
