Punjab govt vs Governor case to be heard today, SC slammed Governor in previous hearing

Mohali News: The Supreme Court will hear today a petition filed by Governor Banwari Lal Purohit against the government’s decision to declare the assembly session called by the government illegal and not approve the bills passed in the House.
Although Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit has taken a U-turn from his stand, the Supreme Court has reprimanded Governor Punjab in the last hearing.
During the hearing on the petition of the Punjab government against the Governor of the Punjab government in the Supreme Court, the petitions filed by the state governments against the Governors of Tamil Nadu and Kerala will also be heard.
The governors of these three states are accused of not signing pending bills for a long time.
State governments repeatedly approach the Supreme Court to get bills passed by the assembly passed by the governor passed. CJI DY Chandrachud had said in the last hearing that governors should understand that they are not elected authorities. Why do governors take action on the bill only after state governments go to court? This has to stop, the apex court had observed in the previous hearing.
